Actress Amy Schumer Reveals Split from Spouse of Seven Years
Comedian and actress Amy Schumer has disclosed that she and her husband, chef Chris Fischer are divorcing after seven years of marriage.
The actress stated in an online announcement on recently, alongside a photo of the two of them on the subway, that they had made the "tough choice" to part ways and will remain dedicated to raising their son, who is six.
"It's friendly, with total love and respect! Family forever," she wrote.
Schumer, 44, and Fischer, 45, exchanged vows in early 2018 and became parents in 2019.
Light-Hearted Comments on Split
The star quipped in the online announcement that the split is unrelated to her shedding pounds and not on account of Fischer being a "decorated cook who can still attract attention".
He earned the prestigious James Beard award in the American Cooking category for his 2015 Beetlebung Farm Cookbook: A Year of Cooking on Martha's Vineyard.

The couple appeared together on the Food Network reality show Amy Schumer Learns to Cook, which aired during the Covid pandemic.
The duo also appeared during a film series Expecting Amy that chronicled Schumer's experience, who has been candid concerning having endometriosis, during her challenging gestation.
