The City of Angels witnessed widespread festivities after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-game World Series title. Supporters across the globe joined Angelenos in celebration, marking the initial time in 25 years that a team has achieved back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Draws Massive Crowds
Los Angeles area events featured a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Social media videos show countless of Los Angeles residents packing city center avenues, many carrying handmade banners and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy high.
