Touadéra's re-election bid focused heavily on his security achievements in a chronically unstable country.
"There was a methodical effort to influence the outcome," alleged opposition candidate Anicet Dologuélé.
He has faced heavy criticism since a constitutional referendum removed term restrictions, allowing his continued run for power.

Over 2.4 million voters were registered for the December 28th presidential vote, which observers called largely calm notwithstanding operational setbacks.
Based on provisional data, the incumbent won 76% of the ballots.
