Soccer Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

The Gunners' ten-match winning streak was ended by Sunderland before the international break, but can the Premier League leaders recover against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, against artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of guests.

For week 12, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

The singer's new album, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of several Soccer Aid games down the years - but he is not intending a serious return as a player.

"{I recently played in a benefit match the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."

The singer and his wife his partner have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.

"I will not push football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their Saturday football side," he added.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a while too.

"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our side for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this fixture will be fairly close, though. Burnley are well organised and their only at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

It suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

The singer's prediction: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two matches - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, West Ham secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.

The Hammers' sole on the road win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was still that team's coach.

Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - can West Ham extending their streak under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to choose the Cherries, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for the drop before the season started, but they have surprised a few observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three in their last four games.

A family member told me to select Bees forward Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks ago and, guess what, I didn't listen.

The forward will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support Brentford at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had much fortune on the road this season, and the Seagulls are always strong at home. Brentford will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a threat.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

Olly's view: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of scores but it actually turns out to be rather close. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their past six games.

Fulham have have lots of talent in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be sucked into a drop zone battle.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.

The away side's performance in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not witnessed anyone else rough up the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing would be to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of roughing Fulham up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the end of last month.

However I am not do that. Instead, I truly need to continue going against the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good results because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the sole team they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be absolutely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

Olly's choice: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a bad run... but they have still been respectable at home this season. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to call. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but might they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
