The creators Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst are bringing the curtain down on their humorous show about a close-knit group of likable chancers running riot in a countryside town in Lancashire. One could anticipate the last episode to be a greatest hits victory lap of alcohol, substances, and playful theft. However, the vibes are distinctly darker as the character Vinnie, played by Gilgun and the crew barricade themselves in a bar with gangster Davey MacDonagh for a final 50th installment apparently inspired by the filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.
Dragons’ Den
8pm, BBC One
Dancers from the ballet world enter the den this week, as single mothers Laura and Stacey present their line of inclusive dancewear – and send Peter Jones into a spin. Next, an ophthalmologist turned innovator has a smart device for misplaced tape edges.
The Series All Creatures Great and Small
9pm on Channel 5
The veterinary adventures are generally good, but this excellent historical series earns its corn with emotional character development. An especially moving installment weaves the stories of a lame shire horse and a vanished calf into a more serious storyline centring on Tristan, whose behaviour prompts a brotherly confrontation.
The Drama The Hack
9pm, ITV1
It’s been a long road. Yet the second-to-last episode of this at first slow-moving but ultimately compelling phone-hacking drama sees David Tennant’s Nick discovering details about the actions of the News of the World that the other media outlets simply are forced to acknowledge. The situation improves for Dave, who has a surprising new ally.
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK
9pm, BBC Three
Jazz hands at the ready: it’s time to stage Peter Pansy – The Rusical! That means the stress increases for the queens to sing, dance, act and ultimately slay as they prepare for the production. And what better guest judge than West End stage legend Mazz Murray, together with the panel including Graham Norton, Michelle Visage, and RuPaul.
The Series The Iris Affair
9pm, Sky Atlantic
Those with a phobia of creepy crawlies will want to skip ahead as episode six begins, before something of a Mexican (or rather Sardinian) standoff ensues, when Cameron compels Iris to swap her diary for the hostaged Joy – else she’ll be “shot repeatedly” from Meski’s menacing drone … How to get out of this one?
