Ukraine has announced the commencement of large-scale manufacturing for an innovative domestically developed interceptor drone to enhance its aerial protection systems. The first three manufacturers have started production, with an additional eleven preparing to establish assembly lines, Ukrainian military officials announced this past Friday.

'Octopus' Technology Tested in Combat Situations

These UAVs utilize a nationally created system known as “Octopus” engineered to intercept Iranian-made drones. This technology has been tested in combat and demonstrated successful “during nighttime, amid electronic warfare and at low altitudes,” officials stated. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy established an ambitious goal of manufacturing as many as 1,000 interceptors daily.

Ukrainian President Schedules Diplomatic Trip to Spanish Capital

Volodymyr Zelenskyy will visit the Spanish capital, Madrid, on Tuesday to confer with lawmakers following his visit to Paris, the chamber of deputies announced. The Ukrainian president will convene with deputies from both chambers of the legislature during his visit, an official announcement said.
